Today Coach:  Simon

My Thoughts:
I always appreciate the techniques and guidance that Simon provide when he coaches.  As you may notice, there is no WOD.   We focus on techniques and form.   It's sometimes nice to just focus on that and not worry about doing the WOD for time..    A bit less rush, and bit easier on my brain.  In a world where everything is face pace; sometimes I need my brain to slow down and not "over-think".  That's just my opinion and my personal challenge.   Damn my quirky job that makes me "over-think" things...  ;)

Warm-Up; did a series of stretching, with the PVC and as well as the bands. (correct me if I'm wrong on this as I'm writing this post a few weeks later.   I went from feeling peppy to feeling I had been ran over with the flu bug that evening).
We did the Burgener Warm-up as we were preparing to do SNATCHes.

SKILL; the first skill we were to spend 15 minutes and slowly build up the weight.   I'm surprising myself each time we start using more weight.   I was more surprised that I was able to muster up to 95 lbs for the Overhead Squat (wide grip - preparing for Snatch).  I repeated at 95 lbs about 4 sets.   I opted to stay at this weight to focus on the form/technique.  As in the past, I always rush to see my max; and then compromise on my form.
The 3 posiiton Dead Lift; a bit harder when you use a wide grip.  I'm tall and have a very wide "wing span".  The weight was no where close to a normal dead lift.   I don't recall what I had used.   Maybe 135 lbs at the max.  The 3 position included pauses at each position.  This was very taxing.

Midline:   We were to perform the Good Morning unbroken; and to make sure that we RESTED 90 seconds before starting the TTB/KTE (also unbroken).  I was a bit too eager in the beginning and Simon reminded me to rest the 90 seconds.   I used 65 lbs for the Good Mornings and just the body weight for KTE.  All four sets were done unbroken.

WOD;  <none>

Misc:  practice with Emma today as Leanne wasn't around.   I think I tried to do a Hand Stand but couldn't do it as my shoulder were taxed.   I started to topple over to one side as soon as I pushed into form.  I opted to skip it then trying.  A bit more paranoid; but when your taxed..   Save it for another day.  I vaguly remember what I did for practice.   I'll update this blog after I consult with Emma.

Slowly working away at it, practicing everyday after our class and  ..tackling one WOD at a time!!!
