My Thoughts:
Another round of Strength training today (Deadlifts and Front Squats). Still making progress as I'm able to add another 10 lbs to my last set on each of these. Progress; nice and steady is the way to go. Bryan (strength coach) would like me to try and add 10 lbs to each SKILL each week. Although certain Strength training such as STRICT PRESS; you'll be lucky if you can add 1 lb per weak. For me, this has stalled and actually dropped 10 lbs since I've started. I'm not sure why, but I'll have to ask him the next time I see him.
Ended up doing the SKILL; treating that as my warm-up & Mobility before the WOD. As for the WOD, had to scale it and do Knees to Elbow.
Misc:
Didn't get around to doing any additional practices, such as skipping or Double Unders. Watch Emma and Leanne worked on theirs as well as Handstands against the wall. Saw Emma today stringing 12 Double Unders! Way to go Emma!!
Soon enough, I'll get back to work on my list of improvements. The strength training certainly saps any reserves of energy. I think I was ready to lay down and sleep at the gym. I would rather play it safe than overtax my body which then might lead to injury.
But I am glad that I'm doing the WOD along with my Strength. I know it'll pay off in the long run.
Thanks for reading and remember to tackle one WOD at a time!!
