Crossfit Armoury - Week 7: Mobility + Olympic Lifting

Thoughts:

Monday mobility was prepping for Squat Cleans (Tuesday Crossfit Class).  As you will notice that all the mobility has taken the format of working on the next day's crossfit WOD or Strength component.  I find this to be very helpful.  Nothing is better than preventative maintenance, and the ability for Optimize Physiotherapy responding to the request of Crossfit Armoury's members.  Thank you!!

Wednesday evening oly lifting class; we were able to finish it without going over the class time limit.

Wednesday - Olympic lifting class

That was it for this week on activities related to Mobility and Olympic lifting.  I've included items that were scheduled to be covered in class, that I didn't attend; for the sake of curiosity.  Ideally, it would be great to attend all these fine classes.  But like all things, there is only so much time to do thing and it always comes down to what I want to focus on that particular week.

Mobility classes  this week will focus on the following, as quoted by Aaron Norris [Physiotherapist at Optimize Physio]:

Monday -  prep for Squat Cleans (Tuesday Crossfit Class)

Wednesday will be focused on the Deadlift to prep everyone for the 1 RM on Thursday.

Saturday we will be working on the Thruster to help with the Thruster EMOM.

Olympic classes this week, as quoted by Coach AJ Facendi:

Olympic Lifting this week: 💪
Wednesday - some quick tests to see if your squat mobility is improving. And a 3 lift complex for both snatches and clean & jerks making sure we're hitting those proper positions... You will get some choices to make sure you are training your weaker lifts (power or squat)

Sunday- "Waves" - lifts working up to 95% then dropping back down and repeating again for both snatches and clean & jerks (getting ready for next week when we test those maxes!)
