Crossfit Armoury - Week 10: Mobility (Yoga) + Competitor Program

Something a bit different than the previous week of mobility. This week, we had another special visit from Christina Mohr, from Kai Yoga Wellness She is also a fellow crossfitter at Crossfit Armoury.
Christina asked if there were certain areas that we liked to focus on once we arrived for the class. Class was held on the second floor of the Amoury. For most of us, we had suggested some of our trouble areas, such as the shoulder, traps, and hips. Most of that was from oue recent week of programming. There was a lot of shoulder works as much as hip work for some.
It was rewarding working on the stretches focusing on the trouble areas, and you could hear a lot of groans form the class, me included in that!
Thanks Christina for the yoga class; it was good timing. Hoping in the future; they will make this a more common class. I think I will approach the coaches, including those who run the mobility class to consider having yoga as part of the schedule. Especially on weekend, after a long week of training.
Competitor Program did not run this week, and the focus was for us to go and support our fellow athletes who were competing. There were two competitions running this weekend.
One was an Olympic Lifting meet, called the Hokkaido Cup.

Another Crossfit competition was being held in a different part of the city, it was the 2016 Winter Massacre @ Crossfit Lineage
Since there were plenty of members, some were able to goto both locations to cheer everyone one, and some just stayed at one event.
That's the one of the things that we had learned is to support your fellow crossfitters. Even if your not competing, go cheer them on!
While there were many members at both locations and I'm sure there were many pictures taken.
The pictures below were taken from Crossfit Armoury's Facebook page. Saturday competition was the Rx division. Sunday's competition is for the Scaled division.
