Crossfit Armoury - September 29, 2017: Accessory work / Class workout a day later..

My Thoughts:
Okay, decided to skip the olympic lifting the night before (too many things to do at home and couldn't make time). I decided to come in early in the morning (7 am) and work thru the class. I also had some time off from work which I took. This way, I'm not feeling so rush to finish my workout. Plus, I had a chance to visit some of my regular crossfit members that I use to workout with. Been so focus on these olympic lifting classes; that I've actually stopped my crossfit classes.
I'll most likely resume the classes after next week Max weight testing.
So, after doing my standard olympic warm-ups and followed up with a 1000 meter row. This usually gets my body ready for almost anything.
Despite all these warm-ups; I had issues with locking out with the Drop Snatch warm-ups. I mean, issues as I thought it was heavy after the second set of 3 on the Drop snatch. By the time I did my last set of 3, I had reconsidered not doing the class workout (above) and just do my now favorite EMOM w Front/Back Squat cycle.
I took the weight from my last Drop Snatch and attempted to Snatch with it. Yeah, it didn't feel good. I couldn't lock it out at this weight, so instead of grinding thru and potentially injuring myself. I would work on something else, a different body part. I opted at that moment to change my training and work on the EMOM - Back/Front Squat.
I used the same weight as I did the other week; 165 lb - Front Squat, 195 lb - Back Squat. Alternating squats; odd # - Front squat; even # - Back Squat. 3 reps each minute; switching weight each minute as well. The EMOM is 10 minutes.
The next time I hit this EMOM, I'll increase the weight another 5 to 10 lb.
Part of my monthly maintenance is some deep tissue massage; which will be occurring this afternoon. Hopefully this will help and prepare me for next week Max weight testing.
