Crossfit Armoury - September 6, 2017: Speciality Class: Olympic Lifting
My pre-calculated Post-it Note |
Coach: Meaghan
My Thought:
I'm sad to report that I'm still feeling a slight discomfort from monday's accessory work during my front squat session. No, I have not gone and seen a physio, other than taking it easy and letting my body heal on it's own. The pain has lessen slightly.
If the pain continue tomorrow after Olympic lifting, I'll make an appointment.
Snatch:
Exercise calls for 10 rounds every 75 seconds. 1 Power snatch plus 1 Squat Snatch at or around 75% of max snatch. Pre calculated my numbers (see above) and it works out to be 108.75 lb (made my range between 105 to 110 lb). I usually see how I feel after the warm up and state of mind and pick a weight. The other deciding factor is how lazy I feel when it comes to picking my plates. I shouldn't do that, but... 110 lb it is..
Clean & Jerk:
Exercise calls for percentage of weight base on my previous max. I really like these type of work. I find it helps with building up the strength and endurance. I lack endurance as I find that I'm still taking longer than the class time allows.
Upon hitting my 85 and 90% mark; my pace had dropped down and yes, my rest time increase. I've also become stubborn with my lifts and push myself to finish. I find that if I take a few more minutes of rest, I seem to have second wind.
