Crossfit Armoury - July 19, 2017: Speciality class: Olympic Lifting

Snatches:
We got to choose the are we wanted to work on for the snatches.  I decided to work on what the worst/weakest movement, which was the Drop Snatch (getting underneath the bar).  It was more about building the confidence, strengthening that shoulder muscles, so it one has that comfortable/familiar feeling.
Using the suggested pattern, I opted to start with 75 lbs for 3 reps, 95 lb for 2 reps and 115 lb for the singles.   It's going to be a challenge to strengthen the shoulders, and core.

Clean and Jerk:
Like all lifts in the last week, the time to get to my heavy takes a much longer time than the rest of the class.   I finally settle on 165 lbs as my heavy and used that for the 3 sets of the complex.   The complex was 1 clean pull + 1 hang clean + 1 front squat + 1 split jerk.  I took a couple minutes for a break between sets.  

Extra Credit / Assigned homework:
Did not stay for any extra credit or work on any assigned homework.  Always so tired after the class.  I just want to put away my equipment, drink my recovery drink, roll out and leave..
