Crossfit Armoury - July 9, 2017: Speciality class: Olympic Lifting

Sunday; July 9, 2017 @ Crossfit Armoury - West

Coach:  A.J.  Facedni

Thoughts:
Initial warm-up is getting a bit easier, repeating the same movements will eventually become an habit.

Snatch:
Taking my 60% of 1 RM Snatch; works out to be 80 lb.   Added 5 lb each round until I hit 115 lb.   Snatch is not my forte, thus I would rather work with lighter weight and improve my technique.  Still not feeling as stable as much as I would like when it comes to my shoulders and overhead.

Clean & Jerk:
Maximum weight achieved during the exercise is 165 lb.  When I ask Coach if I should do power clean or squat clean.  She looked at me and asked what is my weaker lift; thus the answer.  Squat Clean.   This will eventually be the basis for all future lifts.  Work on what you are weak at!   At least that's how I take it.

Extra Credit / Accessory / Home work:
I still have the homework to do, when I find the time.  Just been taking a day off after Oly lift class until I can figure out my schedule.  Last year, I had found that when I do an oly class; I'm usually feeling it the next day and don't have as much energy to do my crossfit class.  I know it sounds like I'm being a wuss; but I just know my body.   My recovery time is not what it's use to.

Other factors, just had to put down my dog of 9 years on Friday.  Stupid Fucking Canine cancer!   My head space is not quite where it's suppose to be.  So don't mind my workout schedule this week, or today as I need to come in and free myself of some anger, grief and a lot of negative energy.  I needed to lift..
