My Crossfit Open 18.4 Score - Scaled |
Thoughts:
So close to finishing within the 9 minute time limit. So tired and I couldn't push myself anymore. Maybe I should had not rested to so much on the deadlifts, maybe it was in my head. I dunno; short by 35 feet (not the 70 feet I was yapping about because of how the measurement was done).
I did the scaled version of this workout as I don't have Handstand Push-up, nor the walking handstands. And from watching those who did Rx'd; it was brutally hard. Some didn't like the new standard and some were caught off guard with it. For me, I would rather have a good workout (that I did) and felt more accomplished than doing just 21 very heavy deadlifts. And then be stuck at trying to do a first Handstand Push-up. I can barely do a handstand hold against the wall. I didn't want to injured myself in a movement that would just cost me dearly in both the short and long run.
