Crossfit Armoury - May 9, 2018: Olympic Lifting

Thoughts:
Worked thru both the warm-up and the daily empty bar warm-up.
Since I didn't know if we were planning on doing Full Squat snatches or Power Snatches; I actually pre-calculated out my numbers.   I talked to Coach Jason and said I would work on my Power Snatches as that is my weaker of the two.  He agreed and I showed him my numbers.  I have it in Kilograms as well, as I plan to be doing more olympic lifting; and I have to get use to the numbers in that format.

 @ 70% FULL 115 lb / 50 kg POWER 95 lb / 43 kg
 @ 75% 120 lb / 54 kg 100 lb / 45 kg
 @ 80% 130 lb / 59 kg 110 lb / 50 kg

He actually advised me to keep my weight a bit on the lighter side as I was having some issues with my power snatch (tipping on to my toes) and with the EMOM being 3 Touch and Go format, it's more for speed.

I went with my 70%, which was 95 lb.  The EMOM was for 7 minutes.  3 Touch and Go burns thru a minute pretty quickly and there isn't a lot of time for rest; especially as the 5 minute mark of the EMOM.

Today, we had the fun of building up to a Max Jerk from the rack.  It's been a while, and I managed to get up to 205 lb.  But at the 185 lb mark, I actually had trouble with either my stand was too narrow; which resulted in me tipping to my right.  Or I would not full get under the bar and at the end pressing the last few cm.  Each time, I could see Coach Jason disappointed face, which added to my disappointment.   I attempt 205 lb twice, both with similar issues.  Need to work on this...   my stance being too narrow, and me getting underneath the bar.
